My First Experience

When I was four years old, I had what I believe to be my very first paranormal experience. We lived in an old single story house and I remember very vividly that I was afraid of our linen closet. The closet was big and did not have a door. It was located right beside our bathroom. Everytime I passed by that closet I got scared and hurried to or away from the bathroom. I never knew why I was scared of it, until one day I walked by that closet and looked in. There was an old lady standing there, her hair was gray and pulled up in a severe bun. She was very real looking, but she did not speak to me. She looked very stern and started walking toward me. I had never seen this woman in my life, and it scared me. Even at four years old, I did not tell my parents about her. I saw her almost everyday after that when I passed by. She never walked toward me again, and I believe that is because she knew she had scared me.
I found out just last year, that before we moved in that house, there was an old couple who lived right next door. The husband had passed away, and the wife went kinda crazy right after that. She too passed away. My grandma described this woman to me, and the descriptions of who I saw and what this woman looked like were very similar. Could this apparation that I saw all the time have been the one of my neighbor? I will never know, but it's still fascinating to me.
